Under the initiative and leadership of Nuno Ribeiro, Assistant Professor at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and Principal Investigator at the Aviation Studies Institute (ASI), SUTD has established a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Bergamo, Italy in the area of Air Transport Research. The MOU begins in June 2022 and will last for a duration of five years.
The MOU seeks to promote cooperation in the fields of teaching and research. On a basis of mutual equality and trust, the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and the University of Bergamo wish to develop close long-term relations and pursue initiatives in the following areas of common interest.
- Application of Advanced Analytics to Large-scale Complex Systems
- Development of Quantitative Policy and Planning Decision Support Systems
- Air Transport Networks and Connectivity
- Sustainability in Air Transportation Systems
- Management and Economics of Air Transportation Systems
The institute looks forward to opportunities arising from the relationship between the two universities and Assistant Professor Nuno’s work at the ASI.
