The Aviation Studies Institute (ASI) has published the seventh white paper. This paper looks at the challenges that lie ahead for the adoption of autonomous urban air mobility (UAM) from a passenger and third-party perspective.

It contains recommendations for planners and policy makers to aid the smooth future integration of these vehicles into urban environments.

The paper has been developed with the support of SUTD’s Lee Kuan Yee Centre for Innovative Cities (LKYCIC). The LKYCIC have performed several previous studies into the public adoption of autonomous ground vehicles.

The paper is available for download on the Resources section of the website. A direct link is here: https://asi.sutd.edu.sg/white-papers/asi-white-paper-a-future-with-autonomous-urban-air-mobility

Over the last two years, ASI white papers have looked at the broader integration of transport connectivity in Southeast Asia (Airport-Rail Inter-Modality and The Future of ‘Super Short-Haul’ Air Travel in Southeast Asia), the future of ASEAN Hub airports, airport slot allocation policies during the recovery from COVID-19 and future concepts of operation within air traffic management.
