The Aviation Studies Institute (ASI) has published it’s second commissioned white paper of 2022. This paper analyses airport slot allocation processes used across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) during the COVID-19 pandemic and how these could be adjusted to support aviation industry as it recovers. The analysis is built upon industry knowledge of slot coordination processes and interviews with a range of stakeholders from across the region.
